Buckden, The Buck Inn
The village of Buckden is situated where Buckden Gill, which rises on Buckden Pike, joins the River Wharfe. Whilst evidence of people living around the village has been traced back to the Bronze Age, The village of Buckden itself was formed during the 12th century and stands on the route of an old Roman road that linked Bainbridge and Ilkley. Its situation in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and on the east bank of the River Wharfe has made Buckden is a popular destination for walkers and holidaymakers; the area is a popular stop-off for walkers taking the 85 mile Dales Way, which runs from Ilkley in West Yorkshire to Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria. The village pub, The Buckden Inn, dates from the early nineteenth century. It is a Grade II listed building (Historic England List Entry Number:1173176 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1173176 ).

The Buck Inn
The Buck Inn at Buckden. On a day as glorious as this there's nothing better than sitting outside a pub in the sunshine and having a bit of lunch. Tip can just be seen standing on the table in front of my car in the shade of the parasol.
