Numbers 12 and 14 North Street were originally one later 17th century house, now in two occupations. Built of rubble stone, partly slobbered, under a stone slate roof. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1132094 Gargrave is a large village in North Yorkshire, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, some 4 miles northwest of Skipton. The village sits astride the A65 trunk road and the Pennine Way long distance path passes through the village. The River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal run through the village. Gargrave is very popular with hikers and cyclists.

Gargrave houses [23]
Story's House in North Street was built as a house and schoolroom. Dated 1828, the building was constructed for Robert Story, renowned poet and teacher. Built of coursed rubble stone, painted to the front, under a stone slate roof.
