Carleton recreation ground
A plaque at the entrance records that the recreation ground opened in September 1993. "This recreation ground has been built by the generosity of the residents of Carleton-in-Craven and has been dedicated to the children of the village." Another plaque provides general information about and from the parish council.

Western boundary, Carleton-in-Craven churchyard
The central headstone marks a Commonwealth war grave. The inscription reads "Northumberland Fusiliers / 41326 Private / C. C. Cockshott / Tyneside Irish N. F. / 2nd December 1918 Age 27".

Carleton St Mary: tower
The tower was rebuilt in the 19th century along with the rest of the church but it contains three bells, two of them of 17th century date in a 15th century bellframe, and a clock made by a local man, William Cryer, in 1833. These were presumably saved from the old tower.
