No. 85 in Haworth loop
The train to Haworth and Keighley had stopped in the loop by Bridgehouse Mills to allow No. 85 to manoeuvre onto the front of the train ahead of the 'Black 5' that had brought it from Oxenhope. No. 85 is a Taff Vale Railway class 02 0-6-2T built in 1899 by Neilson Reid. It was later used by the Lambton, Hetton & Joicey Colliery Co then the NCB before withdrawal in 1968. It has been on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway since 1970 and is currently presented in Taff Vale Railway livery. The water alongside is Bridgehouse Beck and a few week earlier it had flooded part of the railway's workshops at Haworth causing several thousand pounds worth of damage to a class 25 diesel and the site's wheeldrop facility.
