Above Fold Lane, Cowling, Nth Yorks
At the top of Fold Lane a public footpath passes between the two houses and climbs up towards Hallan Hill. The footpath is on the East side of the driveway in the foreground of this photograph and it passes through the galvanised steel gate that is shown closed.

H A McEwen Boiler Works, Farling Top
This unprepossessing site is home to one of the few boiler repairers and makers who can deal with a wide variety of stationary, marine, road traction and locomotive boilers. Alan McEwen is another larger than life character in the Fred Dibnah mould. The business is looking to relocate as the really big loco boilers can't make it to 925' AOD.
