Track on route of Roman Road
The straight section of Back Shaw Lane is marked as a Roman Road and this is an extension of the lane that has been put out of use by Shaw quarry just over the brow in this view. This section would have joined up with Keighley Road beyond the Guide Inn.

Guide Stone by the UC road, in parish of Keighley (Bradford District), Keighley Road crossroads on Harden Moor, South of Keighley, opposite Guide Inn, set in wall at junction with Rycroft Road, Goff Well Lane and Shaw Lane.
Inscription reads:-
