Moorend School, Snelsins Road, Cleckheaton
This is a church primary (5 to 9 years) school, founded in 1873. There are approximately 150 pupils on roll. The school mainly serves the local areas of Moorend, Whitechapel and Hunsworth. It has an attractive outdoor play area, and also a large grass area for summer use.

Snelsins Lane, Cleckheaton
Moorend School is on the right, and in the distance the junction with Bradford Road. This used to be a five-road junction with Hunsworth Lane and Whitechapel Road.

This is in an attractive late Victorian (or Edwardian?) style. It is shown as two houses on the OS 1:2500 map of 1907, arranged so that it was not obvious that they were semi-detached.
