Approaching Whitcliffe Road Bridge
Forming part of National Cycle Network Route 66, the Spen Valley Greenway runs between Bradford and Dewsbury. Many of the bridges along the path include signs of poetry. The blue sign on this bridge reads:
workers working
new homes building
shirkers shirking
sign posts pointing
tall spires reaching
slow legs loitering
fast tyres screeching

Whitcliffe Road bridge
The bridge once carried the road over six tracks (including sidings) of the LMSR Cleckheaton branch in a cutting just north of the station, but now only the Spen Valley Greenway uses the space. See also Image
