Junction of Manningham Lane and Eldon Place
The police had the road to the right blocked while a fire was attended to. Ordnance Survey records show that in 1844 a benchmark was levelled at 396.727 feet above Liverpool Datum on the far side of the junction: the description was 'Mark on iron pier at Eldon-place, North Parade ; 0.55 ft. above pavement'.
