The Old Library, Nelson, Lancashire
Nelson is a town which hardly existed when Victoria came to the throne, but its growth during her reign was nothing short of phenomenal. This left Nelson with an enviable aggregation of splendid Victorian buildings, some of which sadly have been lost. The library has moved to new premises, so this old building on Carr Road is available to let or for sale. Let's hope the new owner or lessee will restore it as it deserves.
