Terrace on Warehouse Lane
The stone built terraced cottages with a continuous sloping roofline are a feature of the mill towns and villages of NE Lancashire, although there are some examples over the border in West Yorkshire.

The 'Hole in the Wall', Foulridge, Lancashire
This pub in the attractive village of Foulridge, bears a large board commemorating the cow that once swam all the way through Foulridge Canal Tunnel and emerged unscathed at the far end. They also serve very good beer!
Update July 2009 - the pub is now boarded up!
