Modern housing that takes its name from the former corn mill of Whalley Abbey that stood nearby.

Water wheel, Abbey Corn Mill
The Corn Mill was built 1837 by Mr John Taylor of Morton Hall, and closed down in 1987 when the last owner Mr John Lund retired. It stood empty for a number of years before it was converted in to housing in the year 2000

Abbey Mews, Whalley
Before the conversion to housing the buildings on the right constituted Abbey Corn Mill, the water wheel is preserved in the tall building and can be viewed through a window. The building on the left was a butcher's with its own slaughterhouse at the rear.

Old garage, King Street, Whalley
Now no longer what it was this ex-garage now sells garden furniture and antiques, the petrol pump no longer dispenses petrol and soon it will be a collector's item.
