In the foreground is a house with a round-headed doorway and a shapely flay arch over the passage to the rear. The 18C White Bull has custom from some scooter enthusiasts. Apart from a motocyclist there is a rare lull in the traffic.

St Mary's Church, Gisburn
The tower is Norman, whilst the remainder of the church is mostly in Perpendicular style with some 13C features (Pevsner). The churchyard seems to have been mainly cleared of gravestones.
