Brungerley Bridge from the road
Compare with the view from the riverbank to the west in Image The bridge once marked the boundary between Lancashire (near side) and Yorkshire (West Riding) on the far side. Now both sides are in Lancashire, one of the few shire counties not yet to have been replaced by unitary local authorities.
