Car Park outside Accrington Stanley Football Ground
Now renamed the "Wham" Stadium. The season just passed (2017-2018) saw Accrington Stanley promoted as Division 2 champions, a considerable achievement for a club on a shoestring budget. One of the 12 original football league clubs of 1888-1889, Stanley have had a checkered history surviving bankruptcy, 44 years in non league wilderness and gradual rehab in the professional game. They survive on small crowds, sandwiched between nearby Burnley and Blackburn Rovers.
