These cast iron supports are what remains of a bridge which carried the Clifton Accrington & Colne Railway (L&YR) across the reservoir. The footpath has been created as part of the redevelopment of the area. At the moment the development is still on going, but when finished it will add new character to an area of mills and terraced housing
