One hundred years ago, a group of devoted Irish people gathered enough funds to purchase a Lancashire venue in which to secure a future as a club devoted to celebrating the community’s culture, heritage and arts.
That centre remains the venue for Haslingden’s Irish Democratic League, which celebrates the centenary of its move on Sunday, 20th March 2011
