Independent Methodist Church Barnoldswick
The Church is one of the Colne & Nelson Circuit of Independent Methodist Churches, each managed individually by its Members, but part of the national I.M. Connexion. The form of service is generally Methodist, but with unpaid Ministers and usually a different preacher each week from the Circuit and other churches. The Chapel is a Grade II* Listed Building situated in a Conservation Area in an older part of the town, with a large adjacent Sunday School and small public car park. Erected in 1892 it is now the only remaining Victorian chapel in the town and is currently receiving some restoration with the help of English Heritage.

Bottom of Manchester Road, Barnoldswick, Yorkshire
This shows the road junction at the south-western end of Church Street. The road round to the left becomes Manchester Road at this point, and until the 1930s when the B6383 was constructed, it was the main route into Lancashire. The two white semi-detached stone roofed cottages are in fact Nos. 1 and 3, Manchester Road. The much smaller road down to the right is Walmsgate, with the Independent Methodist church about fifty yards further on. The two cottages next to the shop are Nos 36 and 34, Church Street.
