Barley Garage
It's unusual to find a garage (in the sense of car maintenance business) in such a small village. One of the workers told me it was established in the 1930s.

Barley: The 'Barley Mow'
This new public house, converted from old buildings, has only been open for about six months, but appears to be doing very well. There is real ale, and although I did not eat, the food looked extremely appetising. And the staff were extremely polite and service was quick. They are really trying hard and I'm sure they will succeed.
