Road Junction in Read
"Hello", you are thinking, "Has Harvey forgotten to take his pills again?". "Yes, it's a striking mid-20th century house, and a fine example of a tree without leaves. Well, a tall example of a tree without leaves anyroad. But why this one?" No, I've not gone funny. Well, no more than usual for a Geographist. And, yes, it was a dull old day - but that was the day I was here. This is what our Hollywood chums would call an "establishing shot". So just possess your soul with patience and wait for Image

Road Sign
This is the reason for taking Image That gives context to this one, and what appealed to me here was a road sign in danger of being enfolded in a tree. The other tale to be told here is that someone has painted this sign very recently (though not the road name I notice). This contrasts strongly with Image at the other end of the village. It is interesting to compare this shot with Image, in which the sign is constructed differently, and the directions are different.
