Cycle path following route of former railway
The route known as Padiham Greenway is about to cross a bridge over the former Knotts Lane. The lane has been obliterated with various earthworks for industry and housing but the masonry bridge still stands.

Overgrown track
The railway bridge carried the Great Harwood to Burnley Railway. The railway was last used to carry coal to Padiham Power Station, which has been demolished and developed in to an industrial estate. The railway has since been developed into a footpath
