Gannow (Lane) Bridge, Leeds and Liverpool Canal, Rose Grove
When the canal was first built there was no bridge here, but this one was added by Burnley Corporation in 1883. Thus the bridge received the number 127A, being between Maden Fold Bridge (127) and Gannow Tunnel (128). It is seen here from the east.

Plaque on Gannow Bridge
There was no bridge here when the Leeds and Liverpool Canal was first built; Gannow Bridge was added in 1883 by Burnley Corporation as indicated by this plaque on the road side of the bridge parapet. (see Image] for a view of the bridge from the canal towpath and Image] for a view from the road).
