Limy Water meets reservoir inflow
Taken in high summer, this section of Limy Water being channelled into Clowbridge Reservoir is covered in a decorative layer of what I believe to be fringed water-lilies. The display continues on the other side of the walkway behind me. Clow Bridge, near Burnley, Lancashire.

Clowbridge Dam, Lancashire
This dam holds back the waters of Clowbridge reservoir. Build as a substantial earth wall with three distinct terraces. The reservoir is used as a water supply and for water sports. View taken looking NE along the Dam.

Limy Water
Taken on the walkway up to Clowbridge Reservoir, near Burnley, Lancashire, I am looking west to where Limy Water meets the channel into the reservoir (behind me). This section of water, along with the channel behind me, is covered in a decorative layer fringed water-lilies. Dunnockshaw is to my left and Great Clough and the access road up to Hameldon Hill is on the other side of Manchester Road ahead of me.

Clowbridge Reservoir from Springfield Road
Reservoir built in 1866, resulting in the demise of a community known as Gambleside.
It is also used as a centre for water sports such as wind surfing.
