Spectacular in the rain
It was pouring with rain (I cheerfully admit there are raindrops on the screen in front of me), but a low sun produced this astonishing golden light and I had to record it. The driver thought I had gone completely bonkers. This is not a camera artefact; the colour of the sky is exactly as I recall it.

Church of the Holy Trinity (Trinity Towers)
The Church of the Holy Trinity on Accrington Road is a grade II-listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 466975 http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-466975-church-of-the-holy-trinity-lancashire British Listed Buildings). Originally a Commissioners' church http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commissioners%27_church built in 1835-6, the chancel was enlarged and a vestry was added in 1871-2. The church closed in 1990 and became derelict in 1991 following fire damage. It was restored and converted into flats in 1993.
