These buildings have been renovated. Sandygate Mill boiler house and chimney are in the distance. Many of the former houses on Slater Terrace (Grade II Listed Building, on the right) are now occupied by businesses. Slater Terrace, Burnley
The canalside terrace, built by George Slater in 1840s, has been described as unique and includes a range of buildings, a mill, warehousing and workers cottages. The 10 homes were condemned as unfit for human habitation in the 1950s.
