Henstridge war memorial
Following the Great War, this obelisk was erected near the crossroads. It was built by masons J. Cox Ltd., at a cost of £120 and 3s and dedicated in a ceremony attended by Colonel Ing, supported by Colonel Drew and local clergy. The roll of honour names 32 men of Henstridge who fought in both world wars. The monument was restored in 2001 at a grant of £250, and further restored in 2014. Grade II listed.

Sign for the Virginia Ash, Henstridge Ash
The sign shows Sir Walter Raleigh, credited with the introduction of tobacco to England, puffing on a clay pipe. Behind him a waiter hovers with a bucket of water, perhaps believing that Sir Walter is on fire. The sign serves as a useful reminder that smoking must have seemed very strange to those who first saw it being done.
