What you don't want to read
A couple of uninviting and somewhat neglected signs is just what you don't want to see. Fortunately, his lordship didn't appear to be at home today.

A double kiss
Two choices of footpath from the main road, with a field boundary to negotiate too. The pair of kissing gates provided are of dissimilar style, oddly. The path off the right was largely blocked by metal fencing and some new housing development.

From Tilley Lane
The path crosses a field to the main A39 road. However, there are no other warning signs to note, so the ones at the other end might come as a bit of a shock - see Image

Footpath, Farmborough
Footpath CL 9/43 leaves Love's Lane (there's some alliteration for you) and cuts across a meadow to rejoin the lane via someone's garden. When I got there, the owners were just leaving their property. I acknowledged that it must be a bit of a trial to have a footpath through their garden, but they insisted that they welcomed it; without it they would hardly see anybody.
