Ancient door, The Shambles
At the eastern end of the Shambles, at the junction with Coppice Hill and Silver Street is a late medieval building with a 15th century doorway that was formerly the Tolsey, the house where market tolls were collected

The Shambles, Bradford-on-Avon
Looking east from Market Street past Bradford-on-Avon Post Office. A plaque http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3443456 on the wall records that The Shambles was part of the medieval meat market, later the site of the Scribbling Horse Inn. The post office has the rare monogram of Edward VIII, 1936.

The Shambles, Bradford-on-Avon
