2007 : Greenland Mills, Bradford on Avon
Greenland Mill was formerly one of the wool mills which brought Bradford on Avon much of its prosperity. At the end of the mill's working life for a short time it looked like falling into dereliction. It was saved by this sympathetic housing development; most of the old buildings were converted and new ones built. This shows one of the new blocks with the old mill building behind. This site could easily have become an eyesore, imagination and vision on the part of the developers has made it a credit to the town. Time and weathering of the new stone will do the rest.
