This short row of houses used to be longer and have others for company in the past. As the Staverton Mill site evolved and changed, the houses were brought down and the great industrial buildings went up, leaving a sharp contrast.

Staverton Mill is an historic woollen mill and now a cereal factory.

Growing Methodist groups were keen to create a new chapel for worship. In 1824 they founded this small chapel near the River Avon, close to the old St Paul's church. It served well as the village grew, but in the end the congregation fell to unsustainable levels in the 1980s. A Sunday School held here closed in 1984, with the chapel itself being sold off in 1985. It was then taken over by Nestlé - the company that owned the Staverton Mill site just down the road. They used it to store records and archives. It was then sold to a couple who have redeveloped the Grade II listed chapel as a private residence in 2013.

An ancient church in the Wiltshire area that had some dispensations from the Salisbury Diocese in Mediaeval times, it has an entrance from the main road to Staverton.

The Staverton Mill site has a very long and varied history. Along the many centuries it has been providing employment in many fields, and continues to do so today. Although these gates appear to be unusued now, the initials may give a clue. In 1897, the mill was sold to the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company, which later became Nestlé in December 1935. Milk processing ended in the 1980s and the site is now concerned with agricultural cereal production.
