A twentieth century commercial property on the Frome Road has stood empty and forlorn for a few years now. Previously it was a bed showroom, cafe and clearance shop.

Seats and stone in Southwick
The entrance to the hall and sporting facilities is bestowed with some seating and a stone. The latter relates that the recreation ground was purchased in 1945 for the enjoyment of returning service personnel and officially opened in 1954.

Site of the Blind House
Southwick's old lock-up for the unruly used to stand here until the late nineteenth century. Now long-demolished, the site is a small garden which was restored to mark Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee.
