Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of WARMINSTER (WEST WILTSHIRE District), Deverill Road; opposite No. 124 (farm cottage), on the verge, on East side of road. Warminster plate, erected by the Warminster turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- WARMINSTER TOWN.HALL 1 SHAFTESBURY 14 ---- KNOYLE 9. Milestone Society National ID: WI_WMSH01.

Corner of Deverill Road and Fore Street, Warminster
Fore Street is on the right. There are no doors on the postbox side of the corner house and two former windows on the Deverill Road side have been replaced by bricks. This looks like a former shop, perhaps also a post office.
