Christadelphian Hall, Bath
On New King Street, and occupying premises dated 1880. Number 55 on the left dates from about 1770, and the pair originally formed "a symmetrical composition ..., the blind former centre bay surviving" http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=446740&mode=adv . But one of the main reasons for taking the photo was the remnants of the advertising on the right-hand wall.

Christadelphian Hall, New King Street, Bath
The Christadelphians are first established in Bath by around 1882, but have only been resident here in New King Street since 1971. Interestingly enough, the building is dated 1880. Perhaps the signs on the side wall relate to its previous occupants, namely the purveyors of Marvel cycles?

Faded wall sign
The Marvel cycle appears to have been just the thing for getting about Bath, back in the day. The sign is on the side of what is now the Christadelphian Hall, New King Street.

Corner of Charles Street and New King Street, Bath
This part of Bath was close to the bombing by the Luftwaffe in April 1942 (the 'Baedeker' raids), and shows evidence of some rebuilding and renovation. However, a lot of original buildings remains, including those at the junction of two roads' although the modern system closed off road traffic.

Ghost sign, New King Street, Bath
At no. 56. It reads:
MARVEL
CYCLE CO.
MAKERS OF
the MARVEL &
NORTHAMPTON
FOR HIRE[?]
LADIES, GENTS & TANDEM
REPAIRS"
I can't make out the bottom section, the last word might be 'RIDING' and above is it 'STYLE'.
