The Wharrage brook at Walkwood Road, Walkwood, Redditch
The brook at one time powered a needle-making mill downstream in Enfield Road, Hunt End. There are many brooks in Redditch; they have been incorporated into the landscape of the New Town but where they have had to be engineered to fit, they don't look natural. Technically this ground is public open space but it is allowed to be its natural self, full of birds and shimmering willow leaves.
