Haslucks Fish Bar, Haslucks Green Road
The building to the left of the fish bar was Kimbels Hair Salon, but is being altered and extended. A site notice says it is being converted to residential use but I'm not 100% sure which unit the notice refers to. The unit on the right is/was a beauty salon/piercing studio but there doesn't seem to be much sign of life.

VE Day conga, Skelcher Road
A snap taken by my grandfather, Frank Patten of the VE Day celebrations in his street, which I thought might be of historic interest. The houses date from just before the war and most are still recognisable now, though I doubt many of the participants would be. My mother seems to have aged a little!

This pub was built between the two world wars to serve the extensive new development taking place hereabouts at that time. It is now one of the 'Ember Inns chain'. Previously, 'Haseluck's Green' had been a rural hamlet surrounded by fields.
