Shops, Studley
A row of shops in Studley. It has to be said that Studley does not have the air of a prosperous and bustling town. Maybe the downturn has hit harder than in most areas.

Manor House, Studley
Grander than its size alone suggests. Orangey-red brick and stone dressings. It is heightened by the broad entablature, balustraded parapet and urns. Built c1725 for Thomas Chambers. The architect was probably Francis Smith. Grade II* listed. To the fore are fine contemporary wrought-iron gates, possibly by Thomas Paris. Grade II listed.

In need of TLC
This range of possibly Victorian shops and flats in Studley doesn't look to have weathered the years all that well, with several plastic windows and a slightly neglected air about it, although the premises all appear to be occupied. Studley in general seems to have been hit by the downturn.

Into open fields
At the end of the passageway, the footpath exits into open fields. It would seem that this area was formerly parkland.
