Runner on a riverside path
The runner is a participant in the Cathedral to Castle 10 mile race from Lichfield to Tamworth, which finally took place in September 2021 following a couple of years of postponements caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. Moat House is in the background.

The old school, 17-18 Lichfield Street, Tamworth
Former school built in 1837 for Sir Robert Peel. No. 17 is whitewashed and has a large Gothic window in the gable, flanked by lower Tudor-headed window and door. No. 18 has been modernised (Images of England). The Vertigo night club was the Boot Inn, and has also been the Bonds club.

Lichfield Street aid post - Tamworth, Staffordshire
One of three defibrillators here in Lichfield Street at its junction with Tame Court, the others being at the Community Fire Station and the Tourist Information Centre. On some of these machines you need to call a number first for the entry code, which must delay things somewhat but prevents possible damage or misuse. Moat House, Tamworth
A large Elizabethan house, dating back to around 1572. The windows were reconstructed in the 18th century, typified by the Venetian style windows in the end wings. The prominent chimneys are not original, dating from the 19th century. Listed Grade II*.
