Mango Spice sandwich, Hill Village Road, Mere Green
An elegant dome tops this Asian restaurant and takeaway, which "is currently closed for refurbishment". It is set back from, and sandwiched between the Mere Green Take Away and a 'simplylocal' convenience store. A map of 1961 shows a works here, and in 1968-73 a tyre depot.

Belwell Lane eastwards - Mere Green, West Midlands
To the north of Sutton Coldfield lies Belwell Lane in Four Oaks. This view is eastwards to the roundabout at its end. Here is the meeting point of the B4151 Belwell Lane with the A5127 Lichfield Road and Mere Green Road. Waitrose stands here on Belwell Lane and there is a Sainsbuaa's Superstore not far away on Mere Green Road. Time photo taken 2.53 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
