On a Sunday afternoon this and other long straight roads were racetracks: speeding cars made a perambulation noisy, frightening and dangerous.

Wylde Green United Reformed Church
The tower is a feature of the local skyline. The entrance to the church is in Britwell Road, right. The view is from Western Road across the junction with Highbridge Road. The postbox, not photographed, had been yarn-bombed.
