Thomas Telford's 1829 bridge https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5660719 over railway lines and the Birmingham Canal viewed from the A457 Oldbury Road end. In 2018 this is a route for walkers and cyclists - posts across each end prevent access by motor vehicles.

Galton Bridge
Galton Bridge viewed from beside by Thomas Telford Birmingham Canal Navigations. It was built in 1829 by Thomas Telford and has a span of 151 feet (46 metres). The bridge is adjacent to Smethwick Galton Bridge railway station. The railway bridge can be seen in the background. The bridge which is Grade I listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1214833 is named after Samuel Galton, a member of the Lunar Society.
