The Crabmill Inn, 122 Birmingham Road
There are several pubs across England called The Crabmill. This one is in Bromgrove. Part of the top of the nearby church tower can be glimpsed the other side of the pub's roof. Image Image Image

The Crabmill Inn (sign above the main door)
This sign is above the main entrance, which fronts onto Burcot Lane. The pub also has a conventional sign suspended from a bracket, on its Birmingham Road frontage. This is actually of a different design. Image Image Image

The Crabmill pub sign, 122 Birmingham Road
Unfortunately the sign is faded and some of the paint has peeled, so it is difficult to interpret it. There is definitely a horse on the left and it would seem it is harnessed to some mechanism which turns the mill stones. Possibly the other side of the sign is better, but the heavy shadows cast by the sun on that side made it difficult to see or photograph. The pub has another sign over its door fronting Burcot Lane, but it is of a different design. Image Image Image
