The Beeches
When the new estates were laid out in the 1930s and 40s the local breweries built large pubs like this one. As you can see, the M6 runs just behind it.

Becton Grove, Perry Beeches.
Looking towards Hassop Road this short Grove runs almost underneath the elevated section of the M6 Motorway between Junctions 6 and 7.

Perry Barr Lock No 6
Thirteen locks make up the Perry Barr Lock Flight, where the level drops 106 feet. In the background is the Alexander Stadium. The Alexander Stadium is the main venue of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, it will host the opening and closing ceremonies and track and field events. Construction of the stadium began in 1975 and it opened in 1976, it is the home of the Birchfield Harriers. Redevelopment of the stadium started in 2019 and was completed by 2022, in time for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
