Archbishop Grimshaw School: Science Block (view 1)
This photograph from 1983 depicts the rather austere building which was at that time the Science Block of this large catholic comprehensive school in Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham, England.
Built in the early 1970s the school served the large catholic population of the vast adjoining council estate and much of the surrounding area. This building, along with much of the original school, was demolished in the early 21st century to make way for the buildings of the new John Henry Newman Catholic College.
