West Midlands Metro tram No. 23 (in new livery), Bull Street, Birmingham
The tram is travelling to Wolverhampton. It was manufactured in Spain by CAF and delivered and entered service in 2014. It has now received the predominantly blue livery adopted by West Midlands Metro. This did not involve repainting as instead coloured vinyls are applied. Previously the livery was mainly magenta. The tram has now had powerful batteries installed so it can operate on some of the future extensions which will be built without overhead wires.
