Birmingham Cathedral
The cathedral's surroundings off Colmore Row are an oasis in an area generally lacking in green space - plenty of people are taking advantage on this warm June afternoon. The Cathedral Church of St Philip was built in the early 18th century but did not become a cathedral until 1905.

Grand Hotel - Colmore Row
A welcome return to the Birmingham streetscape after years of decay and restoration. The Grade II* listed building opened in 1879 and closed in 2002. The new hotel will open in 2018.
