Around the junction of Quinton Road West and Gorsy Road there is a range of shops serving local needs. The area name World's End refers to a hamlet which predated all the twentieth century development in the area. It was situated about 200m from these shops where the north end of Gorsy Lane now is; but I doubt any trace of it remains.

Quinton Road West, Quinton (1)
Looking towards Birmingham city centre at the junction with Gorsy Road. When I first knew this area, bus routes 10 and 20 from the city centre terminated here, using the gap in the central reservation to turn round. Today's service 24, which has effectively replaced both routes here, approaches from the opposite direction and terminates at the east end of Quinton Road West.

Path through Woodgate Valley Country Park, with dumped car
Woodgate Valley Country Park is an area of countryside in the heart of Bartley Green and Quinton. The valley is a vital green lung amidst suburban estates, but also seems to be a convenient spot to dump and torch stolen cars
