Bournville Village Trust (BVT) Houses
This view looks south along Woodlands Park Road. The houses visible are part of the Bournville Village Trust (BVT). Founded by George Cadbury in 1900, the estate now covers over 1000 acres and has almost 8000 houses. In general, the houses and open spaces seem to be well-maintained and offer an attractive place to be.

This rather unusual building, the front of which is seen in Image, lies at the junction of Cob Lane and Griffins Brook Lane. The view here is the rear of the church, seen from the former of those two roads.

Serbian Orthodox Church of the Holy Prince Lazar, Bournville
Built to serve the Serbian community in Birmingham, this church was completed in 1968 to designs by Dragomir Tadic. It closely resembles another church designed by him in Osijek, which is now in Croatia; the model appears to be a 14th century church in the Serbian city of Krusevac. The association of Serbs with Bournville began in the First World War, when the Cadburys sponsored refugee children from Serbia.
