Tolkien 4 car park - Hall Green, Birmingham
The car park for the nearby attraction of Sarehole Mill and the Shire Country Park. Tolkien 1 all welcome - Hall Green, Birmingham
This was the poster advertising the 2009 Tolkien Weekend at Sarehole Mill, Birmingham. A festival with many events on a Tolkien theme, this Festival was cancelled in 2013 due to a shortage of volunteers and finance. In 2015 the We Are B28 residents group revived this event and it is due to take place again this year, 2016. In 2009 one of the prominent features was persistent rain, as can be seen in the following photos. For more details, see the Middle Earth Festival website. Time photo taken 3.53 pm BST (British Summer Time).
