Acocks Green Library, Shirley Road
Opposite shops on Acocks Green main island, this library was a fabulous haven from the hustle and bustle of shopping days. I remember well the newspaper room on the left as you walked in. The Warwick Bowl, Acocks Green
Once a ten-pin bowling alley and cinema - now cinema has been replaced by laserquest. When cinemas were in decline (notice the 'blockbuster' on at the time of this photo) the cinema closed and was vacant.
Nevertheless an impressive building, at bottom of Westley Road, Acocks Green, near junction with Warwick Road.
