Former Midland Bank
The headquarters of the Birmingham Banking Company was designed by Rickman and Hutchinson in 1830. The entrance was originally in Bennett's Hill, but in 1868 H.R. Yeoville Thomason added the present entrance on the corner of Waterloo Street. The premises are now the offices of the architects.Webb, Gray and Partners http://www.webbgray.co.uk/

The Head of Steam, Birmingham
This pub on Temple Street was opened by Camerons (a Hartlepool-based brewery) in June 2018. Internally it has a sort of industrial-chic look. According to the website it offers 'hearty signature food with a contemporary twist and beer pairings, offering specialist craft beers, cask ales and cocktails alongside'. Outside is a reminder that the pantomime season is approaching with Peter Pan at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

Alley off Temple Street
This alley off Temple Street in the centre of Birmingham reminds me of the location where Bob Dylan recorded a video (didn't call them that in the 1960s) of him tossing aside word cards to the song 'Subterranean Homesick Blues'.
